Welcome to Uinta Counseling, where Michelle Robertson, a seasoned and compassionate licensed counselor with over seven years of experience, leads a dedicated team. As the founder, Michelle is committed to providing evidence-based practices and the highest standards of care to address a range of mental health needs.

Michelle’s journey in mental health began with earning her Bachelor’s degree from Washington State University (2012) and her Master’s degree from the University of Denver (2014). Her deep connection to Evanston, where she resides with her husband and children, fuels her passion for offering quality mental health care to the community.

With specialized training in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Client-Centered Therapy, Michelle tailors her approach to address past trauma, PTSD, depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, and more.

Bev Fackrell is a treasured and integral part of the Uinta Counseling team. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, Bev brings over a decade of expertise to guide individuals on their journey toward positive change. A proud Wyoming native, Bev returned to Evanston in 2010 with a mission to provide therapeutic services to the community she holds dear.

With a Master’s degree in Counseling and Human Resource Development from South Dakota State University, Bev specializes in working with adults, adolescents, and children facing a spectrum of clinical issues, including Depression, Anxiety, Mood Disorders, Autism, Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities, and addiction. Her evidence-based approach encompasses Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Client-Centered Therapy.

Creating a safe and comfortable space, Bev believes in the power of a strong therapeutic relationship. She works collaboratively with clients, tailoring treatment plans to individual needs. Bev’s commitment to promoting positive change extends to her belief that seeking support is an act of courage and motivation.

Meet Vanessa Probert, a dedicated provisional therapist at Uinta Counseling with a wealth of experience in the mental health field. Vanessa earned her Master’s in Clinical Social Work from Walden University in 2022, complemented by a Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice from Colorado Technical University. Her unique educational background enriches her approach to mental health therapy.

Working under the direct supervision of Michelle Robertson, LPC, LCMHC, Vanessa brings 15 years of expertise to our team. She is passionate about creating a safe and supportive environment for children, adolescents, and adults striving to meet their therapeutic goals.

Vanessa specializes in helping individuals and families navigate challenges such as trauma, anxiety, depression, and offers support for couples seeking counseling. Her commitment to ongoing learning reflects her dedication to providing the best possible care.

Beyond her professional pursuits, Vanessa cherishes spending time with her family, emphasizing the importance of familial bonds. A Wyoming native, she graduated from Evanston High School and finds joy in the outdoors during the summer months.

Community bonds hold a special place in Vanessa’s heart, and she actively contributes to the well-being of the community she calls home. Currently accepting new clients, Vanessa is ready to offer guidance and support to those seeking a path to positive change.

Meet Bret B. McCoy, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker deeply rooted in Evanston, with a strong commitment to the well-being of the community. Bret earned his Master of Social Work degree from the University of Southern California and completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Wyoming.

As a fourth-generation Evanstonian, Bret understands the unique challenges and strengths of the local community. With over seven years in mental health, including more than five years of counseling experience, Bret is dedicated to supporting and empowering clients on their journey to happier, more fulfilling lives.

Bret is a hard-working, non-judgmental, compassionate, and empathetic individual who finds tremendous satisfaction in helping others achieve their goals. He has a diverse background working with preschoolers to geriatric populations, providing support for individuals, couples, parents, and families dealing with addiction, behavioral disturbances, emotional dysregulation (depression/anxiety), relationships, trauma, and stage-of-life transition issues. Bret also has experience working with veteran and LGBTQIA+ communities.

In therapy, Bret creates an accepting, warm, and caring environment. His evidence-based treatment draws from behavioral, psychodynamic, humanistic, and cognitive perspectives. Clinical approaches include Motivational Interviewing (MI), Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Problem-Solution Therapy (PST), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR).

Meet Lizzie Jones, the heartbeat of Uinta Counseling as our dedicated Billing and Scheduling Coordinator. Joining the team in April 2023, Lizzie brings over 11 years of experience in Account Management to her integral role in the office.

As the first person to greet you at the office, Lizzie welcomes clients with a friendly smile and ensures a prompt appointment notice for their scheduled therapist. Her expertise extends to answering insurance coverage and billing questions, making her the go-to person for all things scheduling and financial. Lizzie’s commitment to excellent customer service is evident as she consistently follows up on patient questions, striving to make sure every patient leaves the office feeling secure and confident that all aspects of billing and scheduling have been handled with precision.

A proud resident of Bear River since 2004, Lizzie is deeply connected to the local community. When she’s not ensuring the smooth operation of the office, Lizzie indulges in her passions for team roping, hunting, and spending quality time with friends and family while showcasing her culinary talents. An entrepreneur in her free time, Lizzie manages businesses that align with her passions, further exemplifying her dedication and versatility.
